Life after the exams sucks.

It's not those kind of days where everybody plays and has fun with card-playing and all. True, we will get a few lessons off because the teacher's see no point in wasting time teaching a bunch of idiots who have just temporarily deleted their knowledge from their exhausted brains.

It's funny, that before the exams, EVERYBODY wants to get the exams over with. In actual fact, these people are subconciously thinking only of the day when their exams finish. Or maybe a week after as well.

You think about it. Nowadays, when you try to study in the classes of the teachers that are too stubborn to give you a break, do you actually absorb much? Okay, maybe you do. But one thing for sure, you will be inclined to nod off to sleep or daydream about your crush or the new game you just bought after the exams.

Now think again. All these lessons make you bored. What makes you think the games and all those enjoyable things will fill your boredom for long? Sooner or later, it will bore you out the same way as the teachers.

It's a fact, some sort of natural instinct in the Human DNA, to have a very short patience for things that only temporarily satisfy the emptiness in them. That's why people say we are progressing fast. Much too fast, actually.

In half a century, we are going from the first space flight, to commercial space flight.

another one.

We invented the first gunpowder weapon in the late 17th century. In less than a century later, the first cutting laser was invented. Another half of the century later, we went from discovering nuclear fission and fusion to the testing of the first nuclear bomb in 30 years.

Some of you might think that that kind of time is too long to be considered short. The fact that humans live an average of 74.35 years is showing that a human can live only up to the first 30 years of his life and see many things, many horrors.

For example, our revered Minister Mentor Lee Kuan Yew lived through World War II. How about his father's generation? Okay, not those in Singapore anyway.

How about the Americans of that same generation? They lived though World War I and died at the hand of World War II. A painful experience.

Okay, back to the original topic.

That's exactly why we students feel so bored already. Imagine playing "stress" and Dai Dee or whatever it's called. Or that Big2Garden substitute on those Nokia phones.

It bores the stupid wits out of the person after a while. True, it seems fun at first. But now and again people will stop and wonder, "why are we doing this?".

It's no point going on any further. Lucky there are new things popping up to enrich our stupid lives and fill that empty feeling. Like Band for example. Yet there are people, no names mentioned, who think Band is an infringement on their free time after the exams.

Go for your stupid free time, and don't come running back when you're left with and empty feeling with nothing to fill it.
